Presidents and Prime Ministers of Lithuania

Modern Lithuania was established in 1918 after World War I. The President (Prezidentas) serves as head of state, and the Prime Minister (Ministras Pirmininkas) leads the government. From 1944 to 1990, Lithuania was part of the Soviet Union, led by the First Secretary and the Chairman of the Presidium.
